ABOUT US

Rope Race opened in June 1993 as a dedicated climbing centre, with 1000 metres of climbing surfaces;three dedicated bouldering walls with a variety of routes suitable for all abilities.  

The `FAT BADGER` café  with viewing gallery severing hot & cold food and drinks. 

22 outdoor store is based at Rope Race stocking a full range of equipment and clothing, where as `Fusion` is based in Poynton stocking brands such as Rip Curl, Chiemsee, O`Shea and Plus Minus. 

We have always run indoor and outdoor course for adult and under 18`s, ranging from beginners courses to SPA recognised qualifications. Throughout the year we run courses and weekend trips in the Peak District, Wales and overseas. 

Our junior activities have always been popular especially our `Geckos` under 18`s climbing club. 

 We are AALA registered so we are able to take under 18`s outdoors on climbing and multi activity days/courses which can be used as part of GCSE courses-work or the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.  

Our indoor archery range has been hugely popular not only with the local archery club but adult,schools and youth groups who have used it as part of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and outdoor education GCSE. 

We run NGB qualifications in climbing, canoeing & kayaking, First Aid, navigation courses & charity fund raising events
